Arguably one of the most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) offers breath taking views. One can just enjoy the town of Pahalgam or trek to some of the most beautiful places on earth. One can trek to Lidderwat, Kolohoi Glacier or to Sonmarg. Snow skiing is an attraction during the winter months.

Pahalgam is also the entry point for the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus.

Activities:

Golf, fishing/angling, pony rides, trekking (to Lidderwat, Kolohoi glacier and Sonmarg), camping, sledging, and skiing are the varied options for the adventure lovers. For the nature buffs there are trek trails, walks and a Mini Zoo.

Pahalgam is a mountain paradise tucked away amidst dense forests of pine, cedar, and deodars, and surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. It is the starting point for the annual pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra. Situated at an altitude of 2,133 m, the town is at the confluence of the Aru and Sheshnag rivers. It is a charming hill station ideal for summer vacations and is the base for many treks to Kishtwar and Suru Valley.
